Gauge stays at 12:00

Every BMW temp gauge is engineered to be at 12:00 precisely for any temp between 30F and 900F

Recently replaced EVERYcooling component (metal impellor water pump, entire thermostat assembly, expansion tank, inlet AND outlet coolant hard pipes undet intake manifold) and only used BMW coolant and distilled water 50/50 mix.

Cool, so EVERY cooling system component was replaced? Wow, nice.

Only components not replaced were lower radiator hose, heater core and radiator. Gauge stays at 12:00

Oh. Riiiight. Why would you NOT replace the lower hose, when you’re right there? I mean, I get not doing the heater core.

And also, it’s been pointed out that the gauge stays in the middle for a wide range of temps.

Oh man. What would we do without craigslist?

Well I’m buying the 328i Xdrive. Sadly I can’t buy it today. The owner/operator of the dealership is out of town until this afternoon and I have to work at noon. So I can’t get the paperwork until tomorrow’s.

No worries.

A BMW E46 estate will always go down a treat on here.
